Project "Empathy towards people with neuromuscular diseases"

01.02.2013. Launched a project BG051PO001-5.1.05-0007-S0001 "Empathy towards people with neuromuscular diseases". The project is implemented with the financial support of Operational Programme "Human Resources Development" 2007 - 2013, the co-financed by the European Social Fund of the European Union. The overall objective of the project is to create conditions for active social inclusion of people with neuromuscular diseases /NMD/, improve their quality of life by overcoming their isolation by promoting and real application of equal opportunities policies and social inclusion.

The specific objectives are:

1) Establish new centers in cities of Blagoevgrad,Vidin, Nova Zagora for support of people with neuromuscular diseases /Center for Support of People with NeuroMuscular Diseases and Their Families - CSPNMDTF/, BNMDA and expanding the center inSofia.

2) To be held 9 information campaigns in Blagoevgrad,Vidinand Nova Zagora to raise public awareness of the needs and abilities of people with NMD, increase their efficiency to continue their active working life and opportunities of different social programs for the inclusion of people with neuromuscular disorders of actual labor market.

3) Conduct 6 information campaigns in the cities of Gotse Delchev, Samokov,Vratsa,Pleven,Plovdiv, Kardzhali to create models of collaboration and partnership at local and regional level in the integration of people with disabilities.

4) Create preconditions for e-inclusion of people with NMD by creating a website BNMDA and inclusion of newly centers to it.

Through the creation of the regional centers and models for partnership will achieve expansion of opportunities for improving the quality of life of people with NMD and increase the length of their active life.
